Mohun Bagan Super Giant: Sivasakthi Narayanan scored in the 87th minute as Bengaluru FC bounced back to winning ways with a captivating 2-1 victory against Hyderabad FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 on Saturday, making more memorable Sunil Chhetri’s 150th appearance in the league, played at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
Earlier, in the first match of the day, Odisha FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant played out a goalless draw in Bhubaneswar to maintain top-of-table excitement. Saturday's doubleheader kept up the suspense as Bengaluru maintained their chances of making the playoffs.
There was a lot of attention on the second match of the day and Bengaluru (18) have moved to the eighth spot with this victory, just two short of the sixth-placed Jamshedpur FC, thus helping keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the Playoffs.
