ताशकंद (उज्बेकिस्तान), 26 मई (आईएएनएस) शीर्ष जिमनास्ट दीपा करमाकर ने रविवार को यहां ताशकंद में एशियाई महिला कलात्मक जिमनास्टिक चैंपियनशिप में ऐतिहासिक स्वर्ण पदक जीता और यह उपलब्धि हासिल करने वाली पहली भारतीय बन गईं।

व्यक्तिगत वॉल्ट के फाइनल में करमाकर 13.566 के औसत स्कोर के साथ आठ जिमनास्टों के बीच शीर्ष पर रहीं। अपने दोनों प्रयासों में, 30 वर्षीय को 13.566 के समान स्कोर प्राप्त हुए।
