New Delhi, March 11 (IANS Hosts India started their campaigns in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025 on a positive note with a clean sweep in the men's discus throw F11 and a silver by Preeti Pal as the officially commenced at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday. Marking a grand celebration of athletic excellence, inclusivity, and global unity, the opening ceremony witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with the event being open to all and drawing applause from athletes, dignitaries, and spectators alike.
A total of 280 athletes from 20 countries have gathered to compete in 98 events over the next three days. Among them are 195 male and 85 female athletes, making this edition one of the most anticipated competitions on the global para-athletics calendar.
