मुंबई, 22 मार्च (CRICKETNMORE)| मुंबई इंडियंस के तेज गेंदबाज श्रीलंका के लसिथ मलिंगा इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) के 12वें संस्करण के शुरुआती छह मैचों में नहीं खेल पाएंगे। मलिंगा ने वर्ल्ड कप टीम में जगह बनाने के लक्ष्य से खुद ये फैसला किया है।

मलिंगा ने कहा, "मैंने बोर्ड से इंडियन टी-20 लीग खेलने के लिए अनापत्ति प्रमाण पत्र (एनओसी) मांगा था और उन्होंने कहा था कि ये ठीक है लेकिन सभी खिलाड़ी जो वर्ल्ड कप में खेलना चाहते हैं, उन्हें प्रांतीय टूर्नामेंटों के लिए वापस आना होगा।"
