पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटर सुरेश रैना भी प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) के शिकंजे में फंसते हुए नजर आ रहे हैं। ईडी ने उन्हें गैरकानूनी सट्टेबाजी प्लेटफॉर्म्स के साथ कनेक्शन के मामले में सम्मन किया है। रैना के बुधवार सुबह दिल्ली मुख्यालय में ईडी अधिकारियों के सामने पेश होने की उम्मीद है। रैना से पहले भी कई बड़े सेलिब्रिटी ईडी के शिकंजे में फंस चुके हैं।
इंडियन एक्सप्रेस की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, रैना को 1xBet नामक एक ऐप से जुड़े अवैध सट्टेबाजी मामले में 13 अगस्त को एजेंसी के सामने पेश होने के लिए कहा गया है। उनके पेश होने के बाद, ईडी द्वारा पीएमएलए के तहत उनके बयान दर्ज किए जाने की उम्मीद है। ईडी को संदेह है कि रैना का कुछ विज्ञापनों के ज़रिए इस ऐप से कथित संबंध है और अब अधिकारियों को पूछताछ के दौरान ये बात समझ आने की उम्मीद है।
