मैच के बाद जियो हॉटस्टार पर दुबे ने कहा, "अपने करियर के शुरुआती दौर में उन्हें तेज गेंदबाजों के खिलाफ संघर्ष करना पड़ता था, लेकिन स्ट्राइक बदलने और खेल के बारे में उनकी सोच को धोनी की सलाह ने बदला है और उसी वजह से वह दबाव की स्थिति में भी अच्छा प्रदर्शन कर पाते हैं।"
