एडन मार्करम को टी20 फॉर्मेट का बेहतर ओपनर बनाने में आईपीएल की भूमिका: फाफ डू प्लेसिस
T20 World Cup: दक्षिण अफ्रीका क्रिकेट टीम ने ग्रुप स्टेज और सुपर-8 में अजेय रहते हुए टी20 विश्व कप के सेमीफाइनल में जगह बनाई है। दक्षिण अफ्रीका के लिए कप्तान एडन मार्करम बतौर बल्लेबाज भी सफल रहे हैं। मार्करम इस विश्व कप के सफल सलामी बल्लेबाजों में से एक हैं और टीम को उन्होंने अधिकांश मैचों में अच्छी शुरुआत दिलायी है।
दक्षिण अफ्रीका के पूर्व कप्तान फाफ डू प्लेसिस ने कहा है कि आईपीएल में एलएसजी के लिए ओपनर की भूमिका निभाने के बाद मार्करम बतौर ओपनर बेहतर हुए हैं।
फाफ डू प्लेसिस ने ईएसपीएनक्रिकइंफो से बात करते हुए कहा, "आईपीएल में एलएसजी के लिए बतौर ओपनर खेलते हुए उनके अनुभव ने उन्हें शुरुआती छह ओवरों में प्रभावी खेलने की आदत दी। आईपीएल 2025 में मार्करम का पावरप्ले स्ट्राइक रेट 151.13 था, जो उनके ओपनिंग पार्टनर क्विंटन डी कॉक, रोहित शर्मा और विल जैक्स से बेहतर रहा। आईपीएल 2025 में लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स के लिए उनका शानदार प्रदर्शन उन्हें सफल टी20 ओपनर बनाने में अहम रहा।"
