McDonald Hints At Top-order Changes For Australia After WTC Final Loss
World Test Championship: After suffering a five-wicket defeat to South Africa in the 2025 World Test Championship (WTC) Final at Lord’s, head coach McDonald has hinted at making changes to their top-order when they start their new cycle in the West Indies.
At Lord’s, Marnus Labuschagne was moved up to open alongside Usman Khawaja at Lord's, so as to accommodate a returning Cameron Green at number three. But the move didn’t work, as Labuschagne’s lean run continued, while Khawaja and Green couldn’t make any substantial contributions.
