MP Govt Announces Rs 25 Lakh Cash, Govt Jobs Each To Athletes Yamini Maurya, Ajay Babu
Youth Welfare Minister Vishvas Kailash: Amid the outstanding performance of Indian athletes at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026, players from Madhya Pradesh have also shone brightly on the international stage. Judo player Yamini Maurya from Sagar and weightlifter Ajay Babu brought laurels to the state by securing silver medals in their respective events.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang have congratulated the duo on their remarkable achievement and announced that both athletes will be awarded Rs 25 lakh each along with government jobs as per the rules.
Minister Sarang clarified that under the state’s sports policy, athletes who win silver medals at the Commonwealth Games are entitled to an incentive of Rs 25 lakh each and are provided with government jobs.
