Tokai Citizens Gymnasium: Indian kabaddi player Jaideep revealed that the team carried a taste of home to Japan with them, bringing churma, ladoos and khoya as they stayed focused on their title defence at the Asian Games, where India beat Iran 40-34 in a thrilling final on Saturday.

Speaking to IANS after India successfully defended its men’s kabaddi title, Jaideep said the players remained completely focused on their campaign and the final against a strong Iranian side.

“Yes, we brought churma from our home. We also brought ladoos and khoya from our home. But the food here was also good. We used to get paratha, roti, etc.,” Jaideep told IANS.   Read More...
