European T20 Premier League: Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is one of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) co-founders, has hailed the inclusion of cricket in the Olympic Games as a "wonderful" development that will bridge the gap between the Indian subcontinent and the global sporting extravaganza.
Cricket will officially return to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles 2028, marking its second-ever Olympic appearance – 128 years after its debut in Paris 1900, when Great Britain claimed gold in a one-off match against France.
Abhishek noted that the move would allow the massive population of South Asia to engage more deeply with the Olympics.
