चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियम में द्रविड़ और कुंबले के नाम पर स्टैंड, भावुक हुए ‘द वॉल’
कर्नाटक स्टेट क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (केएससीए) ने एम. चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियम में दो स्टैंड का नाम राज्य के दो बड़े क्रिकेटरों राहुल द्रविड़ और अनिल कुंबले के नाम पर रखने का फैसला किया है। यह फैसला केएससीए के नवनियुक्त अध्यक्ष वेंकटेश प्रसाद ने लिया है जो द्रविड़ और कुंबले के साथ टीम इंडिया के लिए खेल चुके हैं।
एम. चिन्नास्वामी में अपने नाम पर स्टैंड का नाम रखे जाने के फैसले के बाद राहुल द्रविड़ शुक्रिया व्यक्त करते हुए काफी भावुक नजर आए। एक इवेंट में उन्होंने कहा, "करियर के शुरुआती दिनों में यह मैदान मेरे लिए दूसरे घर जैसा था। मैं घर से ज्यादा समय यहां बिताता था। बहुत खुशी और बड़ी निराशा दोनों का अनुभव इस मैदान पर हुआ है।"
