नई दिल्ली, 10 फरवरी (आईएएनएस) लखनऊ सुपर जाइंट्स (एलएसजी) ने इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) 2024 सीजन से पहले इंग्लैंड के तेज गेंदबाज मार्क वुड के स्थान पर वेस्टइंडीज के तेज गेंदबाज शमर जोसेफ को अपनी टीम में शामिल किया है। टूर्नामेंट ने एक बयान में कहा कि जोसेफ 3 करोड़ रुपये में एलएसजी में शामिल होंगे, जो आईपीएल में इस तेज गेंदबाज का पहला कार्यकाल भी होगा।
जोसेफ हाल ही में ब्रिस्बेन के गाबा में डे-नाइट टेस्ट मैच में ऑस्ट्रेलिया पर वेस्टइंडीज की आठ रन से जीत में सबसे आगे थे। जोसेफ ने दाहिने पैर के अंगूठे की चोट को दरकिनार करते हुए दूसरी पारी में सनसनीखेज सात विकेट लेकर मेहमान टीम को ऑस्ट्रेलिया पर जादुई जीत दिलाई, जिसके कारण वेस्टइंडीज ने श्रृंखला 1-1 से बराबर कर ली।
