नेपाल को आखिरी ओवर में जीत के लिए 16 रन चाहिए थे। नंदन यादव ने तेज गेंदबाज काइल क्लीन पर 2,1,4, 2, 2, 4 रन बनाते हुए मैच को पहले सुपर ओवर में ला दिया।
इसके बाद बायें हाथ के स्पिनर डेनियल डोरम को सुपर ओवर दिया गया, जिसमें कुशल भुर्तल ने उन पर दो छक्के और एक चौका लगाते हुए 19 रन बना लिए। डोरम सामान्य समय में चार ओवर में केवल 14 रन देकर तीन विकेट ले गए थे। इसके बाद माइकल लेविट ने पहली गेंद पर छक्का और मैक्स ओ'डाउड ने आखिरी दो गेंद पर छक्का और चौका लगाते हुए मैच को दूसरे सुपर ओवर में पहुंचा दिया।
