கொழும்புவில் உள்ள ஆர்.பிரமதாசா கிரிக்கெட் மைதானத்தில் நடைபெற்ற இப்போட்டியில் டாஸ் வென்ற இலங்கை மகளிர் அணி முதலில் பந்துவீசுவதாக அறிவித்தது. அதன்படி களமிறங்கிய தென் ஆப்பிரிக்க மகளிர் அணிக்கு கேப்டன் லாரா வோல்வார்ட் - தஸ்மின் பிரிட்ஸ் இணை தொடக்கம் கொடுத்தனர். இதில் இருவரும் சிறப்பான தொடக்கத்தை கொடுத்ததுடன் முதல் விக்கெட்டிற்கு 68 ரன்கள் பார்ட்னர்ஷிப் அமைத்து அணிக்கு தேவையான தொடக்கத்தையும் கொடுத்தனர். அதன்பின் 38 ரன்கள் எடுத்திருந்த நிலைல் தஸ்மின் பிரிட்ஸ் விக்கெட்டை இழந்தார்.
