T20 WC: बीसीसीआई सेंटर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस (सीओई) के वर्तमान प्रमुख वीवीएस लक्ष्मण ने कहा कि वे चाहते हैं कि खिलाड़ी बेंगलुरु में नए-नए शुरू किए गए सेंटर में विभिन्न परिस्थितियों के अनुकूल ढलकर अपने करियर में विभिन्न चुनौतियों के लिए तैयार हों।
लक्ष्मण ने नए सेंटर में विभिन्न आयु समूहों के लिए चलाए जा रहे कार्यक्रमों को उन्नत करने के अपने उद्देश्य के बारे में बताया। नए-नए शुरू किए गए 40 एकड़ के सेंटर में ग्राउंड ए है, जिसमें मुंबई की लाल मिट्टी से बनी 13 पिचें हैं। ग्राउंड बी और सी समर्पित अभ्यास ग्राउंड हैं, जिनमें मांड्या मिट्टी की 11 पिचें और ओडिशा के कालाहांडी से काली कपास मिट्टी की नौ पिचें हैं।
अभ्यास के लिए 45 आउटडोर नेट पिचों को नौ क्लस्टर में व्यवस्थित किया गया है, और ये मुंबई की लाल मिट्टी, मांड्या मिट्टी, कालाहांडी की काली कपास मिट्टी और कंक्रीट की पिचों से बनी हैं, जिन्हें यूके से मंगाए गए सुरक्षा जालों से अलग किया गया है।
