Continuing their home season, India are set to host rivals Australia for the famed Border-Gavaskar Trophy for 4 Tests, followed by a 3-match ODI series. India are the current trophy holder with their epic 2-1 win in Australia in 2021-22. India would have to win the series 3-1, 3-0 or 4-0 to make it to the WTC Finals.
The tour will kick off on February 9th with the 1st Test in Nagpur, followed by Tests in Delhi, Dharamsala and Ahmedabad. India and Australia have played 102 Tests against each other, where team India have managed 30 wins while Australia have won 43 Tests. One Test has ended in a tie between these two while 28 matches have ended in a draw.
In India, the two top teams have played 50 Tests where India have been dominant with 21 wins. Australia have won 13 matches while 1 match has ended in a tie while 15 matches have ended as a draw.
The tour will move on to the ODI series on March 17th with the 1st ODI to be played in Mumbai, followed by matches in Visakhapatnam and Chennai. In the 50-over format, India and Australia have competed in 143 matches against each other where Australia have been dominant with 80 wins. India have won 53 matches while 10 matches have ended with no result.
In India, the two teams have clashed in 64 ODIs where Australia have been dominant as well, with 30 wins in comparison to India's 29 wins. Five matches have produced no result.
